02/15/10 Well after neglecting this website for many months due to being totally consumed at work I am posting an update. The EV was used for about a year for daily errands and commutes. It was then involved in a minor fender bender. All the crash related repairs have been completed, but all along the P/S pump mount was not holding tolerances, resulting in a drive belt hunger and slippage. I have now started on rebuilding the P/S system with an electric pump - fixing the issue and increasing the range by a few percent. Other good news - the forums are now open again after applying security measures to keep bots out.

09/16/07 EV has been out on the road several times, including passing its safety inspection. It also has achieved 26 miles (on one charge and not empty) and hit 65MPH for a couple of miles. These trips have included running all sorts of errands - just what it was made for. Oh yeah - and several more pictures have been added to this web site. I have a lot of data to dump in here, so check the forums over the next few weeks.

09/09/07 Finished all the critical install and wiring today - took it out on the road! Waa-Hoo! Got it up to 35mph. Learning how to shift it! Big grin problem - can't get rid of it. :)

06/07/07 Several pictures have been added. It finally hit me that I needed to organize them if I was going to keep adding more and more pictures. Done! I am presently in the middle of rethinking my battery selection. A word of advice - pay more attention to weight up front and go for the highest voltage you can stand! I planned for 120VDC and now hunger for 144VDC. Fun and games!!

05/24/07 Website is now up and running. There is a lot of planned content that will tell the complete story of this conversion, but it will take some time to get it into place. The conversion is still in progress at this point.
